Pre-teens & Teens: Values and Mission
Statement
Parents are the most important component in the
lives of youth at this age, supplying support,
guidance, and unconditional love. However, peers
have a particularly strong influence as well. This
is why our youth group seeks to supply healthy
companionships while exploring the faith.
During these very formative years, we try to
introduce spiritual disciplines such as Bible study,
witnessing to friends (in ways that are normal to
their age group), learning to pray, and serving in
the church. At some point during this time of life,
we hope that our youth will all come to definite
saving faith in Christ. Of course we will quickly
assist those who are new to our congregation by
helping them get assimilated to CCA. We understand
that not everyone will have a long history with us,
so we will do as much as possible to help newcomers
feel comfortable and welcome.
